Unlike butane hash oil(BHO) and concentrates that are extracted using hydrocarbons, CBD hash rosin never touches a solvent. This fact alone is enough for health-conscious concentrate users who prefer solvent-less concentrates.
Rosin in general is much more of an artisanal, craft hemp extract that is produced in small batches whereas hydrocarbon extracted concentrates like BHO are often produced in high volume batches. This is another reason rosin usually carries a higher value.
CBD hash rosin is special because it provides all the benefits of regular rosin plus higher cannabinoid & terpene content, better flavor, better color, and a more desirable consistency. Simply put, compared to flower rosin, and sift rosin, hash rosin is just a better product.
Hash rosin is pressed from hash, which is essentially a high concentration of trichome heads. This results in rosin with a much higher concentration of cannabinoids & terpenes than is present in flower or sift rosin. The higher cannabinoid content produces more potent effects, and the high terpene content contributes to these potent effects and provides a much better flavor.
Hash rosin is almost always lighter in color than regular rosin due to the absence of plant material in the pressed hash. This lighter, golden color is also partially the result of the lower temperatures used to extract rosin from hash. Lower pressing temperature equals lighter colored rosin, and lighter colored rosin is associated with better effects and flavor.
Additionally, the consistency of hash rosin is often more popular with consumers as well. Rosin pressed from flower can have a sticky shatter or wax like consistency that can be difficult to work with in some cases. On the other hand, hash rosin has a buttery or sometimes saucy consistency that is easier to manipulate and handle using a dab tool.
Quality in equals quality out! The quality of rosin will always be dependent on the starting material it is pressed from whether it is hash, flower, or dry sift. Low quality material will produce low quality rosin and vice versa.
