Broad spectrum disty

Effective but very pricey.. with shipping n waiting it has to drop in price Alot before I would order again or recommend it to others Unless you've got deep pockets n don't mind having 25-30 dollars a gram tied up on 1 single gram of CBD distillate. I will say that the distillate is a step above average imo. The fabricator probably seemed great on paper But they're on the bulky kinda oversized side which is actually a down grade over a trusty dab syringe

Thanks for the honest review! We will certainly consider your feedback. In the meantime we do offer automatic quantity discounts on distillate.

More Info

Distillates are hemp extracts that are stripped of undesirable compounds and materials to yield a pure and highly refined oil. This CBD Distillate Oil is the base ingredient of numerous CBD products across the market including CBD vape cartridges, CBD Concentrates, CBD Gummies, and other CBD Edibles. This highly refined distillate usually has little flavor, taste, or aroma.

CBD Distillate is used to enhance other CBD products because it offers a simple and clean method of infusing desirable cannabinoids into a product that may be lacking them. The most common forms of distillate are CBD (cannabidiol) oil, and THC oil. In the hemp industry specifically, many new alternative cannabinoid distillates have recently become popular such as Delta 8 Distillate. Generally, the most prominent cannabinoid in the oil will be in the name of the distillate.

As previously mentioned, CBD Distillate often lacks flavor and aroma. This has allowed for the creation of many unique CBD Products, especially CBD Concentrates. Manufacturers and processors can add their own terpene profiles to produce the specific taste and aroma they desire. A downside to these products, however, is their inability to produce the natural effects and the entourage effect that occurs when using a product containing the natural cannabinoid and terpene profiles that were present in the extraction material. These are known as ‘true full spectrum’ products. True full spectrum CBD concentrates for example will always be prioritized here at Sauce Warehouse because of their ability to produce much more beneficial experiences than concentrates that consist of full spectrum distillate and added terpenes.

Despite CBD Distillate often lacking the benefits of the entourage effect, the high concentrations of CBD and other cannabinoids still make it a great product that allows for quick, easy, and versatile high dose consumption. Distillate extracted from hemp is not just limited to CBD rich oil either, Hemp Distillates can also feature minor cannabinoids like CBN, CBG, CBC, CBT, and others as the prominent cannabinoid. It is also possible to refine CBD Distillate even further into CBD Isolate, which contains only CBD or CBDa. This CBD Isolate looks like a white crystalline powder, but it can also be manipulated into actual CBD crystals using chromatography.

CBD distillate is the result of an extensive distillation & refining process which separates desirable cannabinoids from hemp plant material. This refining process converts the plant material into a concentrated & pure oil known as CBD distillate.

The process of making CBD Distillate requires specialized knowledge & skill. Certain aspects of the process may be dangerous for non-professionals to attempt, thus producing these types of distillates should always be left to the professionals. Creating quality distillate requires a specially controlled lab environment where precision to detail and proper equipment can be utilized to ensure the optimal results and most importantly the safety of those involved.

CRUDE OIL EXTRACTION

This is the initial step in which cannabinoids are separated from the hemp plant material. This separation is either performed physically or chemically.

Physical separation is any form of extraction that relies solely on physical techniques such as pressing hemp material to extract rosin.

Chemical separation is any form of extraction that relies on chemical solvents to extract oil from the hemp material. An example of this would be CO2 or Butane extraction methods.

Depending on the extraction processes used, the crude oil extract may contain plant matter or other impurities that must be removed prior to the refining process. Some extraction equipment will have inline filters that prevent impurities from collecting with the extracted crude oil.

WINTERIZATION

This next step removes chlorophyll, plant waxes, fats, and lipids from the crude oil extract.

Ethanol is mixed with the crude oil and the mixture is placed in an extremely cold environment for up to 48 hours. The cold temperatures cause the impurities and undesirable compounds within the oil to coagulate and drop to the bottom of the container, separating from the desirable compounds.

The crude oil extract and ethanol mixture is then put through a filter to remove the undesirables and leave behind a refined oil extract and ethanol mixture. The next step is removing the ethanol. The removal of ethanol from the mixture is often achieved using an evaporation process, such as rotary evaporation.

In some cases, an additional step is required, depending on the cannabinoids desired in the end product. For example, if the oil at this stage is rich in CBDa, but the manufacturer desires a CBD rich oil, the oil must be decarboxylated to convert the cannabinoid acids to pure cannabinoids. One reason this may be required is if the distillate is intended to be used in edibles. CBDa isn’t easily digestible and will not provide the effects that CBD provides when ingested.

DECARBOXYLATION

Decarboxylation converts cannabinoid acids to more usable cannabinoids. In this process, carboxylic acid is removed from a cannabinoid in order to make the cannabinoid active in the body and able to bind to the endocannabinoid system. CB1 (cannabinoid type 1) and CB2 (cannabinoid type 2) receptors in the human nervous system are unable to bind with cannabinoids in their carboxylic acid forms.

Cannabinoids decarboxylate above specific temperatures. CBDa and THCa both tend to decarboxylate around 220 degrees Fahrenheit. Decarboxylation isn’t just required when producing CBD Distillate intended for edibles, but also when making edibles at home or with other types of CBD Concentrates.

Finally, the distillation process.

DISTILLATION

The decarboxylated distillate is then distilled using vacuum pressure and heat. Specific cannabinoids and terpenes are separated from the decarboxylated oil by adjusting the heat and pressure according to the boiling points and molecular weights of the desired cannabinoids.

There are essentially two main categories of CBD Distillate available on the market today. These are full spectrum CBD distillates, and broad spectrum CBD distillates.

Full Spectrum CBD Distillates contain up to 0.3% THC and a full cannabinoid profile.

Broad Spectrum CBD Distillates contain Zero THC and a broad spectrum cannabinoid profile.

WHAT IS BROAD SPECTRUM CBD DISTILLATE?

Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate is CBD Distillate that has been refined to contain only CBD and a few other minor cannabinoids. Delta-9 THC and all other THC molecules have been separated from the oil during the extraction process.

Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate is made to provide users with a THC Free experience. With a broad spectrum cannabinoid profile, these distillates are still able to provide users with effects from beneficial minor cannabinoids without causing any psychoactive effects or positive drug test results.

The broad spectrum experience is certainly more mild than that provided by Full Spectrum CBD Distillates. They will usually not provide the full entourage effect.

WHAT IS FULL SPECTRUM CBD DISTILLATE?

Full Spectrum CBD Distillate contains the full spectrum of cannabinoids present in the hemp plant.

Full Spectrum CBD Distillate is probably the most popular form of distillate on the market. These distillates provide the infamous entourage effect, and they contain larger varieties of cannabinoids and natural terpenes which are rarely found in broad spectrum Distillates and Broad Spectrum CBD Concentrates.

THE ENTOURAGE EFFECT

The Entourage Effect was originally a theory that has gained scientific backing and is now becoming more of a fact. This theory states that cannabinoids interact with each other to produce a unique "entourage effect". In recent studies the theory has been expanded upon to include terpenes. Terpenes when used with the full spectrum of cannabinoids are thought to amplify the entourage effect.

This likely explains why ‘true full spectrum’ CBD Concentrates and Full Spectrum Distillate products are so highly sought after by consumers. These products provide a more enjoyable experience with increased benefits.

Here are the essentials you will need to get started dabbing CBD Distillate:

1. DAB RIG OR DAB PEN

A dab rig is essential for any serious concentrate connoisseur. These water pipes allow for cool water filtration of vapor, and if you purchase a smaller rig meant to preserve terpene profiles like those made by MJ Arsenal, you will enjoy better flavor compared to a dab pen or other methods of use.

Dab pens are better if you will mainly be using CBD Concentrates on the go or in situations where you need to be discreet about dabbing.

2. BUTANE TORCH OR E-NAIL

If you are going with a dab pen, you can skip to the next essential item. But if you are using a dab rig, you are going to need a heat source! The cheapest solution is a butane torch. Butane torches as the name implies are fueled by butane that can be purchased at pretty much any gas station these days. You want to make sure the butane torch itself is of high quality. Many torches out there are made with cheap materials and will not last very long. Sauce Warehouse carries high quality butane torches from trusted companies like Blazer Torches and Maven Torches. When using a torch, you may also want to invest in a small tabletop timer so you can time your dabs to be taken at the perfect temperature. Generally, you want to wait about 40-50 seconds after heating your banger until it is red hot.

E-nails are another option for heating your banger. These devices feature a controller box that plugs in to the wall and allows you to set a desired temperature to be maintained throughout your entire dab session. A coil that is attached to this controller box fits snugly around your banger to keep it at a consistent temperature. E-nails are good investments for those who dab daily and often, as buying butane to refill a torch can get costly when refills are needed frequently.

Sauce Warehouse has organization stations available for purchase that not only hold q-tips and isopropyl alcohol for cleaning your banger, but they also feature built in dab timers! These are perfect for keeping your dab sessions organized, clean, and enjoyable.

There are some cool new rigs out on the market now that feature a built-in temperature control system. These rigs are called ‘e-rigs’. Popular brands like PuffCo make these e-rigs and they have become a big hit within the cannabis community. CBD Concentrates can be used in these rigs without the need for a butane torch or an e-nail. Most of these devices are chargeable with built in batteries like a cell phone.

3. DAB TOOLS

Dab tools are used to remove ‘dabs’ of CBD Concentrates from their containers and place them inside dab pens and heated bangers when using a dab rig. It is important to purchase only quality dab tools from trusted vendors as cheaper tools made overseas may contain toxic coatings that could potentially burn off into your concentrates when inhaling and cause health concerns. These tools are usually glass or stainless steel, any tools with odd coatings especially paint should be avoided at all costs.

There is a plethora of other Dabbing Accessories that you might eventually want to invest in, such as dab pads which are used to set dab rigs on, but the above accessories are the primary essentials that will allow you begin dabbing CBD Concentrates with ease.
