Isolates are generally the most concentrated of all the CBD Concentrates. CBG Isolate is similar to CBD Isolate in that it has been extracted from hemp and distilled until only a single cannabinoid remains in what is usually a powdery or crystalline substance. In the case of CBG Isolate, CBG or Cannabigerol is the cannabinoid that is isolated from all the other cannabinoids and plant materials.

In most cases CBG Isolate will be a white powder that is at least 90% pure CBG. Generally, this isolate will contain no THC. If you are someone who needs to pass a drug test however, we always suggest erring on the side of caution and considering the fact that trace amounts of THC can be left behind in isolates.

CBG is considered a minor cannabinoid. In most strains of cannabis and CBD Hemp Flower, CBG is rarely present in levels over 1%. Cannabis and Hemp produce a precursor to the three main cannabinoid lines which are THCa(tetrahydrocannbinolic acid), CBDa(cannabidiolic acid), and CBCa(cannabichromenic acid). This precursor cannabinoid is CBGa(cannabigerolic acid). CBGa is broken down by plant enzymes and as a result becomes either THCa or CBDa. Ultraviolet light and/or heat can then convert these acids further into either THC or CBD.

Essentially, CBG is a cannabinoid precursor to the more familiar and more prevalent cannabinoids found in cannabis & hemp. Legally we cannot discuss medical benefits, but we can say this unique cannabinoid has been found to act in a very different and specific way on the human endocannabinoid system. It is this difference in how CBG interacts with the human body that is making it a highly sought after cannabinoid used for several exciting new purposes.
