What is CBD Wax?
ย
CBD Wax is a form of CBD Concentrate that typically has a sticky, mailable, waxy consistency.ย Some CBD Wax will look like moist sugar, some will have more of a play-dough consistency, while other CBD Wax concentrates will look more like a less solid form of CBD Shatter.ย There are many different types of CBD Wax created using several different methods which leads to this variability in appearance.ย CBD Wax is one of the most popular types of CBD Concentrates we carry here at Sauce Warehouse.ย ย
How to Use CBD Wax
ย
Dabbing is the quickest and most efficient way to use CBD Concentrates.ย Dabbing CBD Wax is easier than you may think.ย Dabbing is the process of vaporizing CBD Concentrates using either a dab rig or dab pen.ย In both cases, CBD Wax is heated, a vapor is produced, and this vapor is then inhaled.ย
This allows cannabinoids to enter the bloodstream at a much faster rate compared to any other method of consuming CBD.ย When Dabbing CBD Concentrates, smaller doses are required compared to the doses required when using CBD gummies or other edibles.
If CBD edibles are your preferred method of consumption, CBD Wax can also be infused with food and even liquid beverages.ย Most of the concentrate product pages at Sauce Warehouse will have a link to instructions for making edibles with CBD Concentrates.
Broad Spectrum CBD Wax vs. Full Spectrum CBD Wax
ย
CBD Wax concentrates generally exist in two main forms. Broad Spectrum CBD Wax, and Full Spectrum CBD Wax. Each type of CBD Wax will have its own unique effects and characteristics.
As you may or may not already know, Broad Spectrum CBD Concentrates contain Zero THC. However, it is important to remember that there is always the possibility for trace amounts of THC to be present even in broad spectrum CBD products. Most Broad Spectrum CBD Wax is a mixture of CBD and/or CBDA, plus a few other minor cannabinoids such as CBG, CBN, & CBT. Like other Broad Spectrum CBD Concentrates, Broad Spectrum CBD Wax is created using primarily CBD Distillate or CBD Isolate. The waxy texture is artificially created by adding in minor cannabinoid isolates. These provide not only the texture but the broad spectrum cannabinoid profile many users look for when purchasing CBD Concentrates. In most cases, flavor is added to Broad Spectrum CBD Wax using Cannabis Derived Terpenes (CDTโs), or Botanically Derived Terpenes (BDTโs).
Full Spectrum CBD Concentrates contain the full spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes present in the hemp plant. If you are regularly required to pass drug tests or if you are sensitive to THC, your best bet would be choosing a Broad Spectrum CBD Concentrate as Full Spectrum CBD Wax contains THC. Full Spectrum CBD Wax has some advantages over Broad Spectrum CBD Wax, namely, The Entourage Effect. The Entourage Effect is produced by using the full spectrum of cannabinoids together, and the effect is amplified when natural terpenes are added to the mix. These terpenes and cannabinoids work in unison to produce a much more pronounced effect compared to the effects of Broad Spectrum CBD Concentrates. Another benefit of true Full Spectrum CBD Wax is that it has a natural terpene profile which results in better flavor.
Full Spectrum CBD Wax is available here at Sauce Warehouse in many different options including C02 extracted CBD Wax and even BHO (Butane Hash Oil) Wax (Butane extracted CBD Wax).
How is CBD Wax Made?
ย
There are a couple types of CBD Wax on the market today, each made using unique processes.
Broad Spectrum CBD Wax is almost always a mixture of CBD Distillate/CBD Isolate, and minor cannabinoid isolates. While Full Spectrum CBD Wax is extracted directly from Hemp Flower, Broad Spectrum CBD Wax uses CBD Distillate or CBD Isolate as a base to ensure the wax is a Zero THC CBD Concentrate. Minor cannabinoids such as CBG, CBN, & CBT are added to this base to provide a broad spectrum cannabinoid profile and to create a โwaxyโ texture and appearance. CDTโs or BDTโs are added to this mixture to provide a more flavorful dabbing experience.
Apart from containing THC, Full Spectrum CBD Wax is also different from Broad Spectrum Wax in that it is extracted directly from Hemp Flower. C02 or Butane is used in what is called hydrocarbon extraction. This process pulls cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant material, often through a filter which separates any small impurities, producing a potent, terpene rich wax. The C02 or Butane used in the processing stage is then purged from the wax, leaving behind a clean, ready to dab Full Spectrum CBD Wax! Full Spectrum CBD Concentrates extracted directly from Hemp Flower have an all-natural cannabinoid & terpene profile which produce a noticeably more favorable effect compared to Broad Spectrum CBD Concentrates.
Some Full Spectrum CBD Wax is created using the same process used to create Broad Spectrum CBD Wax, except Full Spectrum CBD Distillate/Isolate is used in place of Broad Spectrum Distillate/Isolate. This allows CBD Companies and concentrate manufacturers to produce a full spectrum concentrate using cheaper materials/processes.
Certainly, we at Sauce Warehouse prefer the true Full Spectrum CBD Concentrates and Hemp Extracts which have more flavor and better effects.

Here is everything you will need to get started:
ย
1. Dab Rig or Dab Pen (portable concentrate vaporizer)
ย
The first thing you will need is a dab rig or a dab pen. Dab pens are essentially vaporizer pens with a built in chamber where concentrates are placed. This chamber is heated upon pressing a button on the dab pen, the CBD Wax is vaporized, and this vapor is then inhaled.
These dab pens are a good option for those who intend on using CBD on the go as they can easily be filled with your CBD Wax and dabs can be taken quickly and easily. Another benefit of dab pens is that they are much more discreet when in use compared to a dab rig. Many people use dab pens during the day while at work and transition to a dab rig during the evening while relaxing at home.
Dab rigs are typically glass water pipes that have an attachment referred to as a bucket, banger, or nail. These attachments are quartz or titanium โbucketsโ that are heated using a butane torch or e-nail device. Once heated to the correct temperature and left to cool slightly, a dab tool is used to place a small โdabโ of concentrate into the heated attachment where it is vaporized. The vapor is inhaled, usually being filtered through water.
The benefit of using a dab rig is more flavor. Sometimes dab pens have odd tastes from the components in the pen, and they just arenโt all constructed to provide the best temperature or even heating. With a dab rig the temperature can be controlled using special devices that measure the temperature from a distance or the use of e-nails which display a consistent temperature reading.
2. Butane Torch or E-nail (if using a dab rig)
ย
A butane torch or E-nail is necessary when using a dab rig to heat the banger attachment. We have a nice selection of quality butane torches here at Sauce Warehouse made by reputable and trusted brands like Blazer Torches. If you decide to use a butane torch, you will of course also need butane! Cans of butane can be purchased at any gas station these days, or at your local department stores and hardware stores.
When heating your dab rigโs banger with a butane torch, you want to apply heat until you can visibly see the banger glowing red. For titanium nails/bangers you want to wait about 20 seconds from this point before applying your dab of concentrate. For quartz bangers/nails you need to wait about 40-50 seconds before applying your dab.
When using an E-nail, the guess work is eliminated and you always know the temperature of your banger. Simply set the E-nail to your desired dabbing temperature, we recommend starting low and working your way up to avoid damaging the precious terpenes and cannabinoids in your CBD Wax. The sweet spot for most dabbers seems to be between 315-570 degrees Fahrenheit.
The lower the temperature, the better the flavor, but also the less cannabinoids that will be vaporized. Hence the term, โwaste it to taste itโ. Each person seems to have their own temperature preference when dabbing, and itโs perfectly okay to experiment and find the temperature you enjoy the most!
3. Dab Tool
ย
Dab tools are necessary whether you are using a dab rig, or a dab pen. These are generally stainless steel or glass tools that come in all sorts of different shapes and sizes. Dab tools allow you to scoop, poke, slice, etc. your concentrate material and transfer it from the concentrate container to the heated dab rig attachment or dab pen chamber.
These are an essential dabbing accessory and you should never try to save money on a dab tool! Cheap dab tools are made overseas and may contain toxic coatings that can come off onto your banger or concentrates. Sauce Warehouse carries quality Dab Tools and other Dab Accessories from trusted brands like Skilletools.
